Lost Illusions

Lucien, a young unknown poet in 19th century France, dreams of forging his destiny. He leaves his family's printing house in the province for Paris, accompanied by his patroness of the arts. Quickly abandoned in the fabulous city, Lucien discovers the grim reality behind the scenes of a world driven by profit and pretense. This human comedy reveals how literary success, the press, and even souls can be bought and sold in this deceptive environment. Aka Illusions perdues.
