Ajoke

An Igbo man returns to his village with his beloved Yoruba wife, who hopes to be accepted by his family. His mother, steeped in tradition and prejudice, immediately rejects her. She sees her son's marriage to a Yoruba woman as a betrayal of their culture and lineage. Determined to separate them, she relentlessly criticizes and belittles her daughter-in-law, making her life a misery.
