Walking with Jesus: The Road to Emmaus

On the day of the resurrection, two of Jesus's followers walk the road to Emmaus, heartbroken by his crucifixion. A stranger joins them and explains how the scriptures foretold these events, causing their hearts to burn within them. They invite him to dinner, and it is only when he takes, blesses, and breaks the bread that their eyes are opened and they recognize him as the risen Christ, just before he vanishes.
