Birdy

Two high school friends, Al and Birdy, return from the Vietnam War forever changed. Al suffers from physical injuries, while the introverted Birdy is institutionalized after a complete mental breakdown, obsessively behaving like a bird. Through flashbacks to their youth, Al visits his friend in the hospital and desperately tries to break through his catatonia, forcing both men to confront their shared past and the horrors of war.
