The Seed of Truth

A celebrated plant geneticist, Elena Vavilova, tells the story of her father, a Soviet scientist who was imprisoned and ultimately sacrificed his life. He stood up for real genetics against the politically backed, fraudulent theories of Trofim Lysenko during Stalin's era, which had caused a devastating famine. His last letter, a beacon of love and truth, inspires his daughter's life work.
