On Our Merry Way

To impress his wife, newspaper want ad clerk Oliver Pease pretends to be a roving reporter. Challenged by her to ask a meaningful question, he polls strangers on how a child influenced their lives. This framing device connects three comedic vignettes featuring a pair of musicians outsmarted by a talented girl, an actress whose career was saved by a child star, and two con men reformed by a mischievous boy. The stories ultimately inspire Oliver to tell the truth.
