Carnegie hall

An Irish immigrant working as a cleaner at Carnegie Hall dreams of her son becoming a great classical pianist. As he grows up, the son develops a passion for modern jazz and joins a popular orchestra, causing a deep rift with his ambitious mother. Years later, he returns to Carnegie Hall, not as a classical performer, but as the composer and conductor of his own modern rhapsody, finally reconciling his passion with his mother's dream.
