The Westerner

Drifter Cole Harden is falsely accused of horse theft by the ruthless, self-appointed Judge Roy Bean in Vinegarroon, Texas. To avoid being hanged, Harden preys on the Judge's obsession with actress Lily Langtry, pretending to know her. This buys him time to get involved in a violent conflict between Bean's cattlemen and local homesteaders, whom Harden decides to help, leading to a fateful confrontation with the eccentric judge.
