Secrets

In the 1800s, society girl Mary Marlowe rejects an arranged marriage to an English lord, instead falling for John Carlton, a clerk at her father's bank. Defying her parents, they elope and move west to California. They build a successful ranch and family, surviving a violent encounter with cattle rustlers. Years later, as John runs for governor, his past infidelities surface, threatening to destroy their marriage and his political career, forcing them to confront their secrets.
