After the Silence

A social worker, Pam, rescues Laura, a 20 year old deaf woman who has been abused and kept illiterate by her father. As Pam teaches Laura to communicate using sign language, a deep, mother daughter bond forms between them. Pam, a survivor of abuse herself, crosses professional lines to protect Laura and help her heal. Together, they navigate a flawed system and fight for justice, empowering Laura to finally tell her story and break free from her past.
