Queerama

Queerama is a powerful compilation documentary that uses archive footage from 1919 to the present day to explore a century of LGBTQ life in Britain. Sourced from both documentary and fictional films, the visuals are set to a poignant soundtrack by artists like John Grant and Goldfrapp. The film charts the dramatic shifts in societal attitudes, from criminalization and medical pathologizing to pride and protest, covering topics like love, homophobia, identity, and the AIDS crisis.
