Orquesta Tipica

This feature length documentary chronicles the rise of Argentina's most popular new tango orchestra, Orquesta Tipica Fernandez Fierro. With a style described as punk rock, the film follows the twelve band members on their international tour through Argentina, Uruguay, and Europe. Their sound is elaborate but raw, and their music is politically committed and linked to a history of counterculture, all within a genre over a century old.
