No Greater Sin

A dedicated health commissioner works to stop the spread of syphilis from prostitutes in his town. He finds an ally and a romantic partner in a local reporter. Their efforts are contrasted with the tragic story of a young man who contracts the disease, infects his pregnant wife, and then kills a corrupt doctor who gave him a false clean bill of health. The commissioner must confront the town council and clean up the streets before the disease causes more devastation.
