7 year old Az is excited for her baby sister's arrival. Her joy turns to tragedy when her mother dies during childbirth, leaving her father devastated. He struggles to cope and eventually dies in an accident while away on business. Left alone, Az tries to find him but gets separated from her sister, Jargal. After years of searching and hardship, the two sisters are finally reunited as adults, finding happiness and family again.
