The Nickel-Hopper

A nickel-per-dance taxi dancer struggles with poverty and a lazy, irresponsible father. Her life becomes a comedy of errors when she attracts the attention of various suitors, leading to class-difference conflicts and chaotic situations. This silent film features slapstick chases, a home break-in, and her father landing in jail, all culminating in a chaotic wedding and a cliffhanger ending. It's a charming look at a working woman's pursuit of love and stability.
