A short distance from the town, engineers cause an explosion while digging a well. An abandoned mine, closed for over a century, suffers a fracture near the blast site, releasing thousands of scorpions that had thrived inside. The fracture occurs in a tunnel once used by the Cristeros that leads to the church, through which the scorpions emerge to the surface, sparking terror throughout the town. AKA Escalofrío.
