Columbia Mission: Countdown to Disaster

This documentary recounts the tragic 2003 Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. Sixteen days after a seemingly successful launch, the shuttle disintegrated during re entry, killing all seven astronauts. The film investigates the cause, tracing the catastrophe back to a small piece of foam that struck the wing on liftoff. It reveals the organizational failures and underestimated risks within NASA that allowed a known issue to become a fatal flaw, leading to a national tragedy.
