Lichtenberg

Through the eyes of an abandoned apartment block in Lichtenberg, Berlin, five stories from different historical periods unfold. The building witnesses a 1920s murder, a Nazi gathering, an East German family's harrowing escape, the arrival of 90s squatters, and a woman hosting a Syrian refugee. These vignettes chronicle the city's constant transformation and the layers of history contained within its walls.
