Plainspoken

This documentary examines the life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter through the lens of his hometown, Plains, Georgia. It contrasts the town's deep history of racial segregation with Carter's progressive civil rights stance. Through interviews with residents, family, and Carter himself, the film explores the ongoing struggle for racial unity and the former president's enduring impact, questioning how a place of strong values still grapples with division.
