Muranow

This documentary investigates Muranów, a Warsaw neighborhood built directly atop the rubble of the former WWII Jewish ghetto. Once a vibrant center of Jewish life, its tragic history still lingers, influencing the lives of its current Polish residents. Through personal interviews and archival footage, the film explores how this buried past manifests in the present, with some inhabitants claiming to see Jewish ghosts, treating them as metaphors for collective trauma, memory, and loss.
