At the Video Store

This documentary is a heartfelt tribute to the now-endangered mom-and-pop video stores across America. Through interviews with filmmakers, store owners, and cinephiles, it explores the vibrant community and culture these stores fostered. The film chronicles their history, from the heyday of VHS to the rivalry with corporate giants like Blockbuster, and laments the loss of human connection and physical media in the age of streaming algorithms, while celebrating the outposts that survive.
