The Letter Men

Based on the largest discovered collection of queer love letters from World War II, this film tells the true story of Gilbert Bradley and Gordon Bowsher. Separated by the war, the two men express their deep affection and fear of loss through their correspondence. The narrative, driven by the text of their actual letters, portrays a powerful and forbidden love story set against the backdrop of global conflict and societal prejudice.
