Girls Rock!

This documentary follows several girls aged 8 to 18 at the Rock 'n' Roll Camp for Girls. In one week, they learn instruments, form bands, and write original songs for a final concert. The film focuses on campers like Laura, a death metal fan Misty, overcoming a difficult past and eight year old Amelia. Guided by indie rock mentors, the girls learn lessons in empowerment, self defense, and self expression in a space free from societal pressures.
