A Nous la Liberte

A satirical comedy about two former cellmates. One escapes prison and becomes a wealthy industrialist, running a highly mechanized factory where workers are treated like automatons. When his old friend reappears, followed by blackmailers threatening to expose his past, he realizes the soullessness of his success. He gives the factory to the workers and joyfully reunites with his friend, embracing a life of freedom on the road. The film is a sharp critique of modern industrialization.
