The Wonderful Kingdom of papa Alaev

This documentary follows the Alaev family, a celebrated musical dynasty from Tajikistan now living in Israel. The charismatic but overbearing patriarch, 80 year old Papa Alaev, rules his family and their orchestra with an iron fist. As he ages and his grip loosens, a modern Shakespearean drama unfolds. His daughter, son, and grandson challenge his authority, torn between family tradition and their personal ambitions, forcing a difficult transition for the kingdom.
