The Blue Angel

In 1920s Weimar Germany, the life of a stern, aging professor, Immanuel Rath, is upended when he visits the Blue Angel cabaret to discipline his students. There, he becomes utterly obsessed with the alluring singer Lola Lola. This infatuation costs him his job, reputation, and self respect. He marries her and joins her troupe, only to suffer profound humiliation and tragedy as his life spirals into a devastating state of degradation.
