Famous author Lila DeMarco hires Mary, a devoted fan, as her new personal assistant. Mary's admiration soon reveals itself as a dangerous obsession. She systematically isolates Lila from her friends and loved ones, manipulates her reality, and resorts to violence and murder to eliminate anyone in her way.
