Aryan Papers

Set in Nazi-occupied Stuttgart in 1942, the film follows two German-born Jewish children who escape after their family is murdered. They are escorted across the country towards southern France by Gisella, a Spanish refugee forced into the SS Lebensborn program, seeking freedom. The escape narrative is framed by a woman named Helga Bahlman, who 60 years later recounts her own induction into Lebensborn as part of a truth and reconciliation program in an Israeli hotel.
