Souvenirs (aka Memorial Day Director's Cut)

On Memorial Day, a boy finds his grandpa's WWII footlocker. They strike a deal: for every item the boy chooses, the grandpa will tell its story. This framing device creates a powerful narrative that parallels the grandfather's experiences in 1940s Europe with the boy's own future deployment to Iraq. The film explores the timeless nature of conflict, sacrifice, and the indelible bond between soldiers across different generations.
