Cheerleaders: An American Myth

Smiling young girls wearing brightly coloured uniforms kick and gyrate, cheering on sportsmen, under the sunny skies of Texas, Arizona or California. They are a triumphant, radiant and at times, sexually ambiguous youth, from deepest traditional America. This documentary, produced in France, invites viewers to travel to the land of the cheerleaders - an America of real and imaginary women.
