The Battle of Russia

This war-time propaganda film from Frank Capra's Why We Fight series relays the events from the Soviet front during World War II in their brutal battle with Nazi Germany. Highlighted is the Russian's heroic resistance of past invaders and their tenacity in the current fight against the seemingly-invincible forces of the Nazis. This documentary is an attempt to portray a positive impression to Americans, in order to justify the Western Allies' alliance with the Soviet Union.
