The Baron

A strong cast brings a special electricity to this Blaxploitation thriller. It's all about a black actor who borrows money from the Mafia in order to finance his own movie production. But no one gets involved with the mob without a few hitches! Calvin Lockheart, Vicki Baltimore, and Beverly Johnson give solid performances under the direction of Phillip Fenty, the screenwriter behind the seventies "classic" Super Fly.
