Meet Dr. Christian

In the first installment of what would be an ongoing movie series, we meet the kindly Dr. Christian (Jean Hersholt) of River's End, Minnesota. All he wants to do is to raise money for a new hospital, but he's up against a mayor who would prefer to build a new highway through town. The mayor also thinks the good doctor is a bit old-fashioned in his methods. But when the mayor's daughter is injured in an accident, who do you think gets the call?
