Life with Father

Four Oscar nominations went to this 1947 classic about a stiff Wall Street financier running his family with a bookkeeper's precision. Featuring a top tier ensemble that includes William Powell, Irene Dunn, Elizabeth Taylor, Edmund Gwenn, and the indomitable Zasu Pitts as Cousin Cora, this whimsical tale was directed by Michael Curtiz (Casablanca, Yankee Doodle Dandy) and shows you how much humor can be found when a family realizes their uptight patriarch was never baptized!
