Whom the Gods Wish to Destroy Part 1

Volker von Alzey, bard of the Burgundians ruled by King Gunther, narrates in verse the saga of Siegfried of Xanthen. Once a blacksmith's apprentice, Siegfried becomes a dragon slayer with a blade forged in blood, aided by Alberich's secrets and the legendary Ring of the Nibelungs, embarking on adventures from the northern Lowlands to Iceland by ship.
