The Women of the Town

New York newspaperman Bat Masterson reflects on his time as a lawman in Dodge City, Kansas. He recalls cleaning up the lawless town and his love for saloon girl Dora Hand. Masterson's rival for Dora's affection was King Kennedy, a scofflaw who mocked his efforts to enforce the law but grudgingly admired his determination. Kennedy's jealousy led to deeper conflicts with Masterson, while Dora tried to persuade Bat to leave Dodge and his perilous marshal job behind.
