Red Fox : A Play

A film adaptation of Roadside Theater's acclaimed play, "Red Fox/Second Hangin'", recounts the life of M.B. Doc Taylor, known as the Red Fox. Taylor, a charismatic figure, served as preacher, doctor, philosopher, mystic, and U.S. Marshall. His execution, along with another local figure, marked a turning point in Wise County, Virginia. The hangings initiated a law-and-order initiative crucial for Northern coal mining interests in early 20th century Appalachia.
