Toxic Palestine

On February 3, 2023, 38 cars of a Norfolk Southern train carrying hazardous materials derailed in East Palestine, Ohio. Several railcars burned for over two days, and during a controlled burn requested by state officials, hydrogen chloride and phosgene were released. Despite officials stating air quality was safe, residents detected a chemical odor.
