The Desperate Mission

In the 19th Century, Joaquin Murrieta, once a wealthy and respected California landowner, loses his land, wife, and all he held dear. Embittered and questioning his faith, he joins a disparate group tasked with conveying a rich man's wife and a valuable treasure through bandit-ridden lands to San Francisco. Murrieta is challenged to reaffirm his beliefs and decide his path amidst threats to the convoy and the people of Southern California.
