The Homesman

Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones "is magnificent" in what critics are calling "the best western since UNFORGIVEN". When low-life drifter George Briggs (Jones) is rescued from hanging by the strong-willed Mary Bee Cuddy (Academy Award winner Hilary Swank), he agrees to help her cross the plains by covered wagon, but the stark beauty of the frontier hides constant threats, enemies, and psychological peril. Also starring Meryl Streep, James Spader, and John Lithgow.
