Almost Brothers (Quase Dois Irmãos)

This poignant film is the story of two men: white, middle-class Miguel, and black favela-dweller Jorge who meet as boys through their fathers' passion for music. Their friendship is renewed during a lengthy incarceration in the mid 1970's. An official selection of the prestigious, award-winning Global Lens Collection presented by the Global Film Initiative. In Portuguese with English subtitles.
